Well, it wasn't pretty, but I didn't finish in last place, just 18th of 22nd in my division. I had fun, though. After a shaky start I settled down a bit, shot par on #1 (twice!) which I never do during weekly casual play with the usual suspects.
The tournament was a blast. I met a lot of cool players, heard some sage advice from veterans, picked up a couple of new discs and generally had a nice time. Looking forward to the next tournament.
Oh, and what does this have to do with a Shoddy First Draft and writing? A flash fiction piece I wrote appeared in the program. In all, a great way to spend an entire Saturday. Thanks to tournament directors Imran Khan and Andrew Lofstrand, and all the volunteers/sponsors!
